DERMAL FILLERS

Dermal fillers are an injectible treatment used to combat signs of aging by diminishing wrinkles, restoring age-related volume loss, raising scar depressions, and enhancing lips. There are various FDA-approved fillers that can be used based on the area being treated. Results are temporary and the lengths vary based on the type of filler used. Filler injections have also shown to stimulate the body’s own collagen production.

All hyaluronic acid fillers are dissolvable with a simple injection of hyaluronidase.  Little bumps can be dissolved in a few days if they occur, or results can be modified to your desired result.  Hyaluronidase is rarely needed but it is nice to know it’s there if we need it!

One week before your procedure, it is recommended to avoid over-the-counter medications or supplements that can thin your blood, including ibuprofen, aspirin, Vitamin E, fish oil and garlic.

After your filler, you may experience temporary redness, swelling, bruising and tenderness at the injection sites.

Profhilo
$450/ 2cc

What is Profhilo?

Profhilo is a stabilized injectable hyaluronic acid indicated for the treatment of tissue remodeling and skin laxity.

The key to Profhilo’s popularity is a unique balance and structure of scientific properties, which includes a high cohesivity, that allows the product to flow freely through subcutaneous tissue and the dermis. Profhilo has better active restorative capabilities than low molecular weight hyaluronic acid. However, rather than being proinflammatory, Profhilo is actually less inflammatory than even high molecular weight hyaluronic acid, and also has its restructuring capabilities.

How does Profhilo work?

The most common and effective method of injection of Profhilo is to use the BAP injection technique. BAP stands for bio aesthetic points which means five areas on each side of the face are injected, while this will vary slightly depending on your face shape the positions are usually on the lower part of the face.

This is done to help reduce the number of injections needed and to allow the Profhilo treatment to more effectively fight the signs of aging.

Areas you can treat and Benefits of Profhilo:

  • Areas to treat are the face, neck, or both

  • It gives hydration, luminosity, firmness, glow, and strength to the skin with a very potent anti-aging effect

Profhilo Results:

Overall, patients can expect increased firmness, elasticity, and an overall improved quality of skin, with the effects lasting up to six months.

Two to three treatments are recommended 4-6 weeks apart, with a follow-up appointment at 8-10 weeks, to be repeated twice a year for optimal Profhilo results.

Sculptra
$675/ 1vial- $1350 2 vials

What Is Sculptra?

Sculptra is an FDA-approved facial-volumizing filler. Many other dermal fillers are designed to fill a wrinkle or fine line instantly, but Sculptra works differently. Once injected, Sculptra stimulates the natural production of collagen, which in turn gradually replaces lost facial volume. Sculpta is most beneficial for hollowness under the cheekbones.

What is Sculptra made of?

Sculptra is made up of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a collagen stimulator that works deep within your skin. PLLA helps improve the structure of your face. Eventually, the PLLA is naturally absorbed by your body, leaving only beautiful aesthetic results behind. That’s what makes Sculptra such an exciting option for facial rejuvenation!

How Does Sculptra Compare To Other Dermal Fillers?

Many dermal fillers work immediately upon injection to replenish lost facial volume. Sculptra, a collagen-stimulating filler, targets visible aging a bit differently. Instead of offering rapid results, it encourages collagen production in your skin to gradually diminish the look of lines and wrinkles.

The treatment regimen for Sculptra is also unique as it typically consists of three injections over the course of three or four months. The results are in a league of their own. Sculptra can improve the appearance of your skin for up to two years!

Is Sculptra Right For Me?

A variety of areas can be treated with Sculptra, including:

  • Volume loss in the cheeks, temples, jawline and around the chin

Sculptra is not injected around the lips or eyes, areas for which Restylane or Juvederm products are better alternatives. The volume restoration associated with Sculptra restores the youthful contours of the face and helps improve sagging skin.

NEUROTOXINS

Neurotoxins are FDA-approved anti-aging injections that uses the neuromodulator botulinum toxin type A to block nerve endings from activating muscles. When these nerve endings are blocked, the muscles underneath the injection site relax causing the skin to appear smoother. As a result, wrinkles and fine lines temporarily fade away, leaving behind a more youthful and refreshed appearance.

What Results Will I See?

Neurtoxin results start to appear in a few days but you should expect your full results to appear within two weeks after the treatment. Results typically last about 3-4 months and can last up to 6 months with long-term maintenance.

Where are neurotoxins injected?

Typical areas where neurotoxins are used are in the frown lines, forehead, bunny nose and crow's feet.  Other great areas we use these neurotoxins are in necklines (or platysmal bands), jaw (masseter muscles for clenching, grinding, and TMJ), neck, shoulders, and temples for tension headaches or severe muscle tightness, orange peel chin, downturned oral commissures, and gummy smiles.

Is There Any Downtime?

Fortunately, there is minimal downtime. Small elevations at the sites of injection last less than an hour, and a rare small bruise may last a few days.
