WHAT IS PRP?
PRP, otherwise known as platelet rich plasma, is a form of cosmetic injectable treatment that uses the client’s own platelet rich plasma. The plasma component contains growth-rich platelets and stem cells. Once extracted from a patient's own blood and injected back into the skin, it accelerates the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin to provide overall skin rejuvenation. When injected into areas of hair loss, it stimulates hair follicles to rejuvenate which helps with thinning/balding hair. We soak all of our Neograft extracted hair grafts in PRP for optimal results.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
A topical anesthetic and/or icepacks are applied to the area that will be treated. Next, a sample of blood is drawn and then spun in a centrifuge for approximately five minutes to separate the plasma from the other blood particles. Lastly, the platelet rich plasma is then reinjected back into the treatment area, stimulating collagen and elastin production.

Who is the ideal candidate for NeoGraft hair transplantation?
FUE transplantation requires that the patient still has hair growing on the lower back of his or her scalp so a patient who is completely bald would not be a candidate for this procedure.The functioning follicles will be transplanted from the back of the head into the thinning or bald areas on the top or front of the scalp.

How is NeoGraft hair transplantation performed?
The first step is to shave the back of the patient’s head. This area on the back of the head is resistant to pattern balding so the hair follicles there are still viable. The area is then numbed topically. We use the NeoGraft® Automated Hair Transplantation system for both extraction and transplantation. The system extracts the hairs from the donor site, which consist of 1-4 hairs per follicle, with a gentle pneumatic process that ensures the hairs will have a better chance of being successfully transplanted. The follicles are then pulled up into the storage chamber.
Once enough hair has been harvested, we transplant the hair using the NeoGraft® “no touch” implantation method. This propriety method doesn’t use a scalpel.
